James Davie

James Davie, President and CEO, founded MalarVx to address the challenges of converting malaria vaccine research to real-world solutions. Mr. Davie has demonstrated a steadfast personal, professional,

and financial commitment to the research of neglected infectious diseases that primarily impact the developing world. Volunteering for twenty years on the board of Center for Infectious Disease Research (formerly Seattle BioMed), Jim served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for several years, continuing on as a trustee and on various committees. His passion helped recruit some of the most effective board leaders that grew the institute from a handful of researchers in 1993, to over 17 investigators with over 100 programs and 360 employees today. Jim Davie has over 30 years of executive management experience in start-ups in biotechnology, medical devices, genomics, protein chemistry, biopharmaceuticals, nucleic acid systems, blood, food, and water safety.
